SBI employees, in cooperation with the DSI of the National Police, reported suspicions to a deputy of one of the city councils of the Kirovohrad region and his accomplices, who organized the purchase of clothing for the military of inadequate quality.

The organizer of this scheme was a deputy of one of the city councils in the Kirovohrad region, who was also the owner and director of one of the enterprises. Having learned that a series of purchases of clothing were planned in the Kherson region to meet the needs of the fighters, the official decided to "earn some extra money" on them.

He involved an acquaintance in the deal, whom he appointed as a director at another controlled enterprise, and the accountant of this commercial structure.

Dealers purchased cheap, low-quality clothing without proper certificates of compliance with the requirements of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The goods only visually resembled military ones. Thus, the state suffered losses of over 21 million UAH.

It was previously reported that the former head of one of the Departments of the Ministry of Defense and two heads of a state-owned enterprise were suspected of misappropriation and embezzlement of property , as well as obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The State Bureau of Investigation also reported suspicions to officials of the State Emergency Service who purchased two thousand tablets at inflated prices .
