In the Kyiv region, the head of one of the departments of the State Tax Service (STS) demanded bribes from entrepreneurs. The official was detained, the regional department of the SSU reported on Monday, April 14.

Proceedings have been opened under the article on accepting an offer, promise or receiving an illegal benefit by an official (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The court chose a preventive measure of detention for the perpetrator. He faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
