The Shevchenko District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has sent charges to the court against the director of the State Enterprise "Production Association "Kyivprylad", his advisor and assistant. They are suspected of alleged bribery, the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office reports.

The investigation established that the head of the public organization was looking for premises to rent. The advisor to the director of the state enterprise allegedly suggested not to conclude an official lease agreement, but to pay almost 50 thousand hryvnias monthly to the management of the enterprise, having drawn up a property storage agreement.

Law enforcement officers also found out that the public organization was supposed to pay 6,000 hryvnias per month, as stipulated in the property storage agreement, and another almost 50,000 to the management of the state-owned enterprise.

According to the investigation materials, for three months of fictitious rent, the defendants demanded almost 150,000 UAH of illegal profit for themselves. The price was set at 100 UAH per square meter.

Under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the defendants face up to ten years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.

The prosecutor's office does not name names, but the Opendatabot system indicates that at that time the head of the Kyivprylad State Enterprise was Andriy Mykolayovych Nikonenko.
