Kyiv lawyer suspected of $9,000 bribe linked to TCP

In Kyiv, operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police and investigators detained lawyer Oleksandr Pakholuk, who promised to help remove a conscript from the wanted list in exchange for a bribe.
As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, the lawyer promised to help remove the conscript from the wanted list in the "Oberig" system for $9,000, using personal connections in the district TCP and SS.
The detainee was informed of the suspicion of receiving unlawful benefit (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for three years and confiscation of property.
Law enforcement officers are not disclosing any more details of the case. According to media reports, the person detained was Kyiv lawyer Oleksandr Pakholiuk. The lawyer has been practicing law for about two years.
Investigators are identifying others involved in the scheme.

In addition, it recently became known that a former employee of the Lviv Region State Tax Service organized a scheme to evade mobilization by involving an employee of one of the district TCP .
