Volyn soldier offered evader illegal border crossing for $7,000

A serviceman was detained in Volyn who promised a tax evader to go abroad for $7,000.
As reported by the prosecutor's office, a 26-year-old military man, together with an accomplice, agreed to help a conscript illegally travel abroad for money. He estimated his services at $7,000 and provided the client with advice and detailed instructions. In particular, he asked the man to come to Lutsk and wait for further instructions. The military man assured that the next day he would be picked up and taken to the departure point.
Later, the employee sent the man a geolocation request, demanding that he come there on foot. There, the soldier met the conscript in a car and told him to put the money in a hidden compartment in the cabin. After handing over the money, the soldier was detained by the police.
Investigators informed the soldier of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure for him - pre-trial detention with the alternative of bail.
