Company director to stand trial over coal overpricing

In the Kharkiv region, the director of a company will be tried for allegedly supplying low-quality coal to a psychiatric boarding school at an inflated price. The amount of damage caused to the regional council is over 400,000 hryvnias.
Investigators established that in April 2025, a private company and a boarding school concluded an agreement for the supply of 70 tons of coal for the amount of 700 thousand hryvnias. The fuel turned out to be of inadequate quality - the ash content indicators were higher than the norm, the prosecutor's office noted.
Despite this, the director of the enterprise delivered the coal, and also drew up and signed an invoice, in which she entered false information about the quality and cost of the goods. Subsequently, on the basis of this document, the boarding school paid the agreed amount of money to the private enterprise. The commodity expert examination established that the real cost of the coal was significantly lower than the contractual one — almost 300 thousand hryvnias.
The amount of damage, which, according to the investigation, was caused to the Kharkiv Regional Council, is over 400 thousand hryvnias. The director of the enterprise will be tried for misappropriation of someone else's property through abuse of office during martial law and official forgery.
We will remind, a colonel was detained in Kyiv for attempting to buy disability.
