DTCP Official in Khmelnytskyi Accused of Bribery
The DTCP, according to the investigation, is suspected of receiving a bribe for taking the man on the military register as a person who is not subject to military service. He faces from 5 to 10 years in prison.
This was reported by the police of the Khmelnytsky region.
The lieutenant colonel demanded and received from a citizen, who already has a nervous disease, 2 thousand dollars for recognizing him as such that, due to his state of health, he is not subject to conscription for military service on mobilization
According to law enforcement officers, the official was detained when he received the specified amount. Currently, police investigators have already declared him a suspect under Part 3 of Art. 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the sanction of which provides from 5 to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The investigation is ongoing.
