A local resident will be tried in Kharkiv - according to the investigation, she promised to influence the territorial recruitment center, the medical and social expert commission and the border service for money.

This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office.

The figure is a 30-year-old woman, she is suspected of offering and promising to influence the decision-making of state officials in order to receive a bribe for herself or a third person.

The prosecutor's office stated: in June 2024, a resident of Kharkiv offered her acquaintance to issue a fictitious disability group to avoid conscription for military service - she claimed to have "connections" among officials of the district TCP, MSEC and the State Border Service.

According to the investigation, the suspect assured the man that he would receive the required disability group, even without visiting a medical facility, and after that, the district military committee would provide him with the necessary documents and enter them into electronic databases. In addition, the suspect told an acquaintance that it was not the first time that she was solving such an "issue" and would organize the issuance of a package of documents with which he would be able to cross the border without hindrance, law enforcement officers added.

For this "service", the woman asked for $17,000, however, prosecutors note, she did not have time to receive this amount.

The woman is currently detained, the prosecutor's office has already approved and sent the indictment to the court.

She faces a maximum of five years in prison. There are no other suspects in the case.
