Military Enlistment Office Official Caught Taking Bribe
SSU officers detained a serviceman of the Vinnytsia District Trade Center security platoon for a bribe of $16,000.
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office on Monday, January 6.
According to the investigation, in December 2024, a serviceman offered a conscript citizen, for an improper benefit, to provide blank forms of summonses signed by his superior to clarify his credentials regarding alleged official summonses to the DTCP and SS in a few months - providing the so-called "deferral from mobilization."
Having agreed to the offer, the citizen notified law enforcement agencies and continued to act under their control. Having received the agreed amount of money, the serviceman provided the citizen with 4 blank summons forms. The suspect also offered 16 thousand dollars for his assistance in evading mobilization under a similar scheme to four more conscripts.
Law enforcement officers detained a serviceman while receiving the agreed amount. The suspect was remanded in custody with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 908,400 hryvnias.
We will remind, earlier in the Khmelnytskyi region, an DTCP official was exposed for taking a bribe .
We also wrote that the SSU exposed bribery among the leadership of the Uzhhorod DTCP.
