NABU Investigates Khmelnytskyi MSEC Head for Bribery image

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating the involvement of the head doctor of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center of Medical and Social Expertise, Tetyana Krupa , who is suspected of illegal enrichment, in obtaining an illegal benefit. This information was announced by the prosecutor during a meeting at the High Anti-Corruption Court on November 28.

According to the prosecutor, on November 20 NABU registered a new criminal proceeding on the fact that an official received an illegal benefit based on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code). The basis was the detective's memo, which states that on October 3, 2024, law enforcement officers found a large amount of cash in Krupa's office. In addition, on the same day, the investigation found medical documents of other persons and referrals to the MSEC for the purpose of establishing a disability group in the apartment of the head of the MSEC.

This gave reason to assume that the source of the funds and other assets exceeding the legal income of the suspect Krupa could be the illegal benefit she received in collusion with unidentified persons from among other members of the Khmelnytskyi Medical and Social Expert Commission and the territorial MSEC of the Khmelnytsky Region for providing positive conclusions on establishing a disability group

- said in the conclusion of the NABU detective, which was quoted by the prosecutor.

The investigation connected the "bribery" episode to the case of illegal enrichment, in which in early October 2024, Tatyana Krupa was declared a suspect .

We would like to add that the punishment under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code is imprisonment from five to ten years with confiscation of property.
