NACP Suspects Lviv Regional Council Employee of False Declaration

The National Agency for the Corruption Prevention (NACP) has found signs of false declaration in the declaration of Vasylyna Sofraniuk, an employee of the Lviv Regional Council. In particular, she did not indicate ownership of a share of an apartment and income from the sale of a Mercedes-Benz S320. The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) has conducted a full audit of the declaration of Vasylyna Sofraniuk, a specialist in the humanitarian policy and international cooperation department of the Lviv Regional Council (LRC) for 2022.
As indicated in the NACP certificate, experts found signs of unreliable declaration. In particular, Vasylyna Sofraniuk did not indicate ownership of a ¼ apartment with an area of 48 m² in Zhovkva, and also incorrectly indicated the cost of another apartment in Zhovkva, overstating it - she indicated 480 thousand UAH instead of 253.6 thousand.
Vasylyna Sofraniuk explained to the NACP specialists that she incorrectly indicated the value of the apartment because she did not have a document indicating the true value of the property. Regarding the failure to declare a share of another apartment, the ENT specialist called it a mistake and stated that the privatization of the apartment took place when she was still 12 years old.
In addition, the NACP specialists established that Vasylyna Sofraniuk did not declare income from the sale of her Mercedes-Benz S320 car – UAH 365,000, which she received from her mother Lyubov Fedyuk in 2022. The ENT employee explained that she did not indicate this information due to “ a misunderstanding of filling out the relevant section .”
After checking the declaration, NACP specialists identified signs of false declaration – Part 4, Article 172-6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the sanction of the article provides for a fine of UAH 17,000 to UAH 42,500.
Recall that in 2023, ENT worker Vasylyna Sofraniuk was involved in a scandal because of a gift of a pass for driving a car into the pedestrian zone on Rynok Square in Lviv, which turned out to be invalid. The gift was made by Sofraniuk's roommate, at that time the chief patrolman of the Lviv region, Roman Pylypenko. Vasylyna Sofraniuk was reprimanded after the scandal, and Roman Pylypenko was demoted and transferred to another region. In 2024, ZAXID.NET also reported that Vasylyna Sofraniuk registered a Porsche Cayenne purchased by her father.
It was previously reported that the economist had taken bribes to obtain a "reservation" at a defense plant.
