SAP Seeks Confiscation of National Police Official’s Property

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requests the civil confiscation of an apartment and two non-residential premises in Kyiv used by Serhiy Losych, head of the Second Department of the Drug Crime Department of the National Police.
According to media reports from their own sources, this is about Losych.
On January 28, 2025, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, based on materials from the State Bureau of Investigation and evidence independently obtained in accordance with the procedure established by law, filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to declare the assets registered in the name of a relative of one of the heads of the Department of Combating Drug Crime of the National Police, the income received from them, as well as their recovery into state revenue (civil confiscation) as unfounded.
According to the SAPO prosecutor, in 2021, Losych's wife's sister acquired an apartment and two non-residential premises in one of the residential complexes in the city of Kyiv with a total value of almost UAH 2.5 million. According to the prosecutor's office, the policeman's family and his relatives did not have enough funds to purchase this property.
After purchasing the aforementioned assets, the official concluded an apartment rental agreement with his wife's sister and transferred 7,000 UAH to her card account every month, supposedly for rent. He submitted payment documents at the place of service for the calculation and payment of monetary compensation to the police officers for renting housing. His wife's sister returned the received funds to his card account on the same or the next day. Thus, the official received compensation for the alleged rental of housing in the amount of almost 150 thousand UAH
According to media reports, the apartment is listed in the police officer's declaration. Its area is 71 square meters. Losich currently works as an operations officer in the Internal Security Department of the National Police.
It was previously reported that the case of the deputy of the Odessa Regional Council was transferred to the court - the SAPO.
