SAP to Submit Case Ex-Head of State Special Communications in July

After July 15, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office will refer to court the case on suspicion of the former head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection Yuriy Shchyhol, his former deputy Viktory Zhora, and others in embezzling state funds in the amount of over UAH 62 million.

Until that date, the decision of the HIgh Anti-Corruption Court limited the defense's time for familiarization.

The motion is partially granted. To establish for the defense party, namely: the suspects and their defense attorneys, as well as other defense attorneys involved by these suspects, in the event that they provide the prosecution with documents stipulated in Part 1 of Article 50 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, a period of time to familiarize themselves with the materials of the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings until July 15, 2025 inclusive, after which the defense party will be considered to have exercised its right to access the materials of the pre-trial investigation in these criminal proceedings

Let us recall that last year, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left the cryptocurrency belonging to the former head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuri Shchygol, under arrest.

Yuriy Shchyhol and Viktor Zhora are suspects in the EBK base.
