Court allows Netishyn mayor Supruniuk to resume duties

The Netishyn City Court has decided not to extend the suspension of Oleksandr Suprunyuk from the position of city mayor. He will return to work next week. This was reported by the official's lawyer Andriy Mazalov.
According to his information, Oleksandr Suprunyuk has not performed his official duties for a year, and the court hearings in the case have been going on for nine months. The lawyer claims that the first ruling on suspension was adopted by an illegal panel of the court, and all subsequent ones were allegedly based on it.
None of the decisions contained an answer to the defense arguments. The prosecutor did not prove either the necessity of the suspension or its procedural possibility.
Ultimately, the court decided not to extend Oleksandr Suprunyuk's suspension, so the official will return to duty on December 23, 2025.
Another defense attorney for the mayor, Ilona Kaminska, commenting on the case, stated that the 1,000 FPV drones, the purchase of which Oleksandr Suprunyuk is on trial for, were of high quality and were promptly transferred to the military. According to her, none of the units returned the drones due to technical defects.
Let us remind you that Oleksandr Suprunyuk is a person involved in the EBK base.
We also previously reported that Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Volodymyr Prokopiv is returning to work after being suspended . Anti-corruption authorities did not reveal any abuses.
