Court Extends Arrest for Former Poltava Fuel Company Head
The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the term of detention under night house arrest of the former acting director of the Poltava Regional Municipal Production and Commercial Enterprise "Poltavapalivo" Mykola Horyaschenko until January 30, 2025. NABU and SAPO suspect him of embezzlement of UAH 13 million.
As is known, the anti-corruption court placed Goryaschenko under house arrest . He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave the Poltava region without permission; to report any change of residence; to refrain from communicating with witnesses; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.
Later, the electronic bracelet was removed from him, but the nightly house arrest was extended. Therefore, the SAPO prosecutor requested that the preventive measure be extended.
To extend until January 30, 2025 the term of the preventive measure against the suspect (Goryashchenko – ed.) in the form of house arrest with a ban on leaving the residence from 22:00 to 06:00 without the permission of the detective, prosecutor, investigating judge or court. To extend until January 30, 2025 the term of the duties assigned to (Goryashchenko – ed.)
