In Rivne, a MSEC doctor was exposed for taking a bribe for a fictitious disability

In Rivne, law enforcement officers exposed a 46-year-old doctor of the medical and social expert commission (MSEC), who participated in a corruption scheme that helped fraudsters to issue fake disabilities.

Earlier, it was reported about the exposure of the 50-year-old manager of a real estate agency from the Rivne district, who, together with her employees, organized a scheme to issue fake medical certificates for evaders. 26 medical workers were involved in this illegal business, including MSEC employees. During the searches, more than 14 million hryvnias in cash, probably obtained illegally, were seized from the suspects.

During the investigation, it turned out that among the participants of the scheme was a 46-year-old neurologist with MSEC. For a separate fee, she ensured the appointment of the necessary III disability group and the issuance of an individual rehabilitation program. Such documents allowed the evaders to travel abroad without hindrance. For her services, the doctor received $16,700, which was seized during the search.

She was charged with receiving an unlawful benefit (Part 3 of Article 354 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for a fine or up to three years of imprisonment.

According to the media, the law enforcement officers exposed the official of the Rivne Interdistrict Cardiology MSEC, Iryna Holosinyuk.

Earlier we also reported that in 2024, 64 MSEC employees were suspected of committing crimes , and 9 people have already been convicted. In addition, 4,106 fictitious disability certificates, which were issued on the basis of forged documents, were cancelled.
