HACC Allows Agriculture Deputy Minister Free Movement in Ukraine
The High Anti-Corruption Court lifted restrictions on movement in Ukraine, but extended the term of office of former Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Markiyan Dmytrasevych until February 19, 2025. NABU and SAPO suspect him of involvement in the case of former Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solsky.
As is known, the anti-corruption court took Dmytrasevich into custody. As an alternative, they set a bail of UAH 20.28 million for him. These funds were paid and the suspect was released from custody. He was assigned the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave Kyiv without permission; to report any change in his place of residence and work; to refrain from communicating with other suspects, witnesses and designated persons regarding the circumstances of the case; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.
Later, the bracelet was removed from him. Therefore, the SAPO prosecutor requested that the remaining obligations be extended. The judge partially granted his request and canceled the obligation not to leave Kyiv without permission.
The motion is partially granted. To extend the term of the duties imposed on the suspect (Dmytrasevich – ed.) for the term of the resolution, in connection with the application of a preventive measure in the form of bail to him. The term of the resolution is two months, until February 19, 2025 inclusive, but within the term of the pre-trial investigation
