HACC Extends Duties for HQCJ Member Luhanskyi

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended until August 27 the term of the duties assigned to Volodymyr Luhansky, a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, whom the NABU and the SAPO suspect of illegally receiving UAH 576,000.
As is known, the anti-corruption court applied a preventive measure in the form of bail to Luhansky. He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; to report any change of residence and/or work; not to leave Kyiv without permission; not to communicate with witnesses; and to hand over his foreign passports.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the court to extend these obligations for another two months. However, the court extended the ban on leaving Kyiv and allowed him to travel to Ivano-Frankivsk through Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
The prosecutor's motion to extend the term of the duties imposed on the suspect is partially granted. To extend the term of the duties imposed on the suspect (Luhansky) under Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code for two months until August 27, 2025 inclusive.

Previously, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed additional responsibilities on Volodymyr Luhansky, a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges.
