HACC Approves Boyarskyi’s Plea Deal image

The High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement concluded with Oleksandr Boyarsky, judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of the Odessa region, in the context of the case of a corruption scheme involving the departure of military-bound men abroad.

This was reported by journalists of "Slovo i Dilo" with reference to interlocutors in anti-corruption bodies.

Boyarsky was found guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obtaining unlawful benefit). He was sentenced to 6 years in prison, but was released on probation for 3 years. He was banned from holding certain positions for this period.

Boyarsky also pledged to transfer UAH 1,059,800, which was deposited as bail for him, to the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the court confiscated USD 20,000 and UAH 200,000, which were in the defendant's bank accounts.

Previously, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against lawyer Serhiy Gafiychuk for providing undue benefit to the judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of the Odessa region, Oleksandr Boyarsky.
