The High Council of Justice has terminated the resignation of Ihor Sarayev, a judge of the Primorsky District Court of the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, in connection with his conviction in absentia for receiving unlawful benefits.

This was reported by the press service of the Supreme People's Court.

As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court sentenced Mariupol judge Sarayev to 7.5 years in prison. He was tried in absentia because he is wanted. The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld this sentence.

On June 3, 2025, the High Council of Justice decided to terminate the resignation of Judge Sarayev Igor Anatoliyovych due to the entry into force of the conviction against him for committing an intentional crime. The termination of the judge's resignation is the basis for terminating the payment to him of the monthly lifetime maintenance that was accrued in connection with the resignation

Earlier, the Supreme Court of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Ukraine confirmed the verdict , which found Igor Sarayev, a judge of the Primorsky District Court of the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, and his assistant Tetyana Zolotar guilty of accepting a bribe.
