HCJ dismisses judge Artymovych in bribery case
The High Council of Justice has decided to dismiss Vasyl Artimovych from the position of judge of the Commercial Court of Lviv Region due to a significant disciplinary offense. Vasyl Artimovych is one of the suspects in the case of extorting a million dollars in bribes.
As indicated on the website of the High Council of Justice, Vasyl Artimovych was dismissed from the position of judge of the Commercial Court of Lviv Region on the basis of Clause 3, Part 6, Article 126 of the Constitution of Ukraine. The specified clause provides that the grounds for dismissal of a judge are the commission of a significant disciplinary offense, gross or systematic neglect of duties, which is incompatible with the status of a judge or has revealed his inconsistency with the position held.
Vasyl Artymovych previously headed the Commercial Court of Lviv Region. He resigned from the post of chairman in December 2024, but he remained a judge of this court. He was suspended from administering justice.
