Supreme Court Blocks Appeal on Official’s Car Seizure

The Supreme Court dismissed the complaint regarding the confiscation of the Mercedes-Benz G 400 d car of the mother of Andriy Morara, Head of the Department of Migration Control, Counteraction to Illegal Migration and Readmission of the Main Department of the State Migration Service in the Odessa Region.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court confiscated the car of the head of the State Migration Service Department in Odessa region, Andriy Morara. The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left this decision unchanged. Therefore, his lawyer filed a cassation appeal against these decisions.
The cassation appeal (to Moraru - ed.), on behalf of which attorney Maksym Mykolayovych Krainyukov acts, against the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court of December 11, 2024 and the resolution of the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court of March 25, 2025, shall be left without motion. To provide a deadline of May 22, 2025, which may not exceed ten days from the date of delivery of this resolution, for the elimination of the above-mentioned shortcomings of the cassation appeal

We will remind, in November 2023, the SAPO prosecutor, based on the materials of the National Agency, as well as evidence collected by NABU and SAPO, filed a lawsuit with the court to recognize the assets of the former deputy head of the department of one of the customs posts of the Odessa Customs of the State Customs Service as unfounded, as well as to recover their value from him - UAH 2.83 million.
