Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych, who was released from pre-trial detention on bail of 15 million hryvnias , said that his family took out this money on credit. The official is a defendant in a case involving the seizure of capital land.

He also stated that he is filing a motion to suspend him from his position during the investigation, and calls the suspicion of land corruption unfounded.

In order to prevent any insinuations, I have filed an application for removal from office for the period of the preventive measure. I consider the suspicion unfounded. Together with my lawyers, I have filed an appeal and will defend my integrity in court.
