Zdolbunov City Mayor Vladyslav Sukhlyak, who is suspected of a $10,000 corruption scheme, received a seniority bonus. The official was out of office for almost a year due to an investigation into a land fraud case, but in April 2025 he was reinstated in office through a court order.

On Wednesday, August 20, during the regular session of the Zdolbunivka City Council, the issue of granting Vladyslav Sukhlyak a seniority bonus was considered. The decision was supported by 17 deputies, while four others did not participate in the vote.

It is known that Vladyslav Sukhlyak's service experience in local government is five years, accordingly, he will receive a 15% bonus.

Recall that in the summer of 2024, the mayor of Zdolbunivka, Vladyslav Sukhlyak, together with two accomplices, were caught receiving a bribe of $11,350. According to the investigation, the perpetrators demanded and received an illegal benefit for the transfer of a land plot for long-term lease to an entrepreneur. The mayor of the community was supposed to receive $10,000, and the rest was to be received by the accomplices.

On July 31, 2024, Vladyslav Sukhlyak was suspended from his duties for the period of the investigation, but on April 10, 2025, he was reinstated through the Rivne City Court.
