The High Anti-Corruption Court has taken into custody businessman Leonid Dubynskyi, whom the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office suspect of organizing a scheme to misappropriate UAH 129 million allocated for the restoration of critical infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, without mentioning the name of the suspect.

According to media reports, this is Dubynsky, who was detained the day before.

The investigating judge of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine supported the position of the SAPO prosecutor and applied a preventive measure in the form of detention to the organizer of an organized group that, under martial law, seized millions of dollars allocated for the restoration of critical infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As an alternative, the court set bail in the amount of UAH 60 million.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO detained businessman Leonid Dubynskyi, who is wanted by the FBI. According to the investigation, in 2022-2023, members of the group won a tender and concluded a contract with a municipal enterprise for the reconstruction of a water supply system in the Kamianskyi district.

The beneficial owner of the company was Leonid Dubinsky, who had influence over the head of the CP and was also wanted by the FBI for committing property crimes.

The lion's share of the concluded contract was the purchase of pipe products, which the "winner" of the tender, through his own laying company, purchased from the manufacturer at market value and resold to the utility company at a price that was more than three times inflated.

As a result of such actions, the utility company suffered losses in the amount of over UAH 129 million, which the participants in the crime took possession of and disposed of at their own discretion. The identification of other accomplices to the crime is ongoing.
