HACC Appeals Reinstates Granovsky’s Suspicion

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court returned the notice of suspicion to former People's Deputy Oleksandr Granovsky, which was previously canceled by the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
As is known, in 2024, the investigating judge of the HIgh Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine dropped the suspicion against former People's Deputy Granovsky. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal against this decision.
The appeal of the SAPO prosecutor shall be granted, the ruling of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court of August 20, 2024 shall be annulled. A new ruling shall be issued, which shall refuse to satisfy the complaint of the lawyer in the interests of the suspect (Granovsky – ed.) against the notification of suspicion in criminal proceedings.
Oleksandr Granovsky is a suspect in the EBK database.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions against four individuals for causing UAH 93.3 million in damage to the OPP. Among the suspects is the former assistant to the People's Deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, Oleksandr Granovsky, and the former member of the OPP board, Olha Tkachenko. She was put on the wanted list, as was the owner of Newscope Estates Limited, Pavlo Chumak. On October 21, 2022, NABU and SAPO also reported suspicions to the former People's Deputy Granovsky, but in absentia.
