HACC Appeals Chamber Schedules Hearing in Yurchenko Case image

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing for November 23 to consider appeals against the verdict sentencing MP Oleksandr Yurchenko to 9 years in prison.

As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found People's Deputy Oleksandr Yurchenko guilty of receiving unlawful benefit. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for a period of 3 years with confiscation of property. The court also left unchanged the preventive measure in the form of a bail of 3 million UAH and additionally imposed on Yurchenko the obligation to wear a bracelet until the verdict enters into legal force.

Schedule the appellate hearing of the appeals of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the defense attorney for the accused (Yurchenko) against the verdict of the HACC dated September 11, 2026, in the premises of the HACC on November 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Set a reserve date for the appeal hearing – November 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
