HACC Appeals to Review Chervonyi Zemlerob Case image

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court is ready to consider an appeal against the verdict, which found the former acting director of the state enterprise "Research Farm "Chervony Zhemlerob" Lyubov Reva, and entrepreneurs Oleksandr and Natalya Stetsenko guilty of embezzling UAH 20 million in grain.

The Anti-Corruption Court found Reva, Oleksandr, and Natalia Stetsenko guilty. Reva and Natalia Stetsenko were sentenced to 8 years in prison, and Oleksandr to 9 years. All of them had their property confiscated and were banned from holding certain positions for 3 years after their imprisonment. The defense filed an appeal.

As a reminder, the HACC found the former acting director of the state enterprise "Chervony Zhemlerob" Lyubov Reva and her accomplice Maksym Zamrykot guilty.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was revealed that in 2016, the former acting director of the state-owned enterprise and her accomplice concluded fictitious contracts between themselves on the provision of legal services to the company, as well as acts of work performed. After that, the above documents were submitted to the Commercial Court of Kirovograd Region in a bankruptcy case with an application for inclusion in the register of creditors' claims of the above-mentioned state-owned enterprise of monetary claims in the amount of over 3.5 million UAH. However, the funds were never seized due to circumstances beyond their control.
