HACC Appeals Chamber cuts prison term for MP Gunko
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially changed the sentence of People's Deputy Anatoly Hunko, sentencing him to 4 years in prison.
This became known from the broadcast of the court session. After the decision of the appeals court, the verdict became legally binding, and People's Deputy Hunko lost his deputy mandate. He was taken into custody right in the courtroom.
The panel of judges of the AC HACC partially satisfied the appeal of Hunko's defense lawyers and reclassified his actions as abuse of influence. Earlier, the first instance VAKS found the people's deputy guilty of incitement to bribery and fraud and sentenced him to 7 years in prison.

Recently, the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, exposed the current People's Deputy of Ukraine , who was exposed in August 2023 for taking bribes for resolving land issues, in dealing with the land of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences for 30 million hryvnias .
Judging by the published facts, in particular the exposure of bribery in 2023, we are talking about Anatoliy Hunko, a people's deputy from Chernihiv region, who is a member of the "Revival of Ukraine" deputy group and was elected from the "Servant of the People" party.
