MP Hunko exposed in UAH 30 mln land scheme
The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, exposed the current People's Deputy of Ukraine, who was exposed in August 2023 for taking bribes for resolving land issues, in dealings with the land of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences for 30 million hryvnias.
This was reported by the SSU department in Chernihiv region on its Facebook page.
Judging by the published facts, in particular the exposure of bribery in 2023, we are talking about Anatoliy Hunko, a people's deputy from Chernihiv region, who is a member of the "Restoration of Ukraine" deputy group and was elected from the "Servant of the People" party. Suspilny's sources in law enforcement agencies also confirmed this information.
According to the case materials, during 2021-2023, the deputy used controlled agricultural lands for the cultivation and illegal sale of wholesale batches of grain through a network of affiliated companies. This involved more than 2.5 thousand tons of agricultural products.
To implement the deal, the People's Deputy involved a deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council, two heads of state-owned enterprises of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, and a trusted person.
To conceal the crime, the accomplices did not reflect the actual amount of the harvested crop in the shipping documents.
Based on the collected evidence, the People's Deputy and four of his accomplices were informed of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (embezzlement, embezzlement of property or taking possession of it through abuse of official position, committed on a particularly large scale by an organized group).
The issue of choosing preventive measures for them is being decided. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

We previously reported that People's Deputy Hunko was sentenced to 7 years with confiscation. He was found guilty of receiving an illegal benefit of $85,000.
