Chernyshov’s appeal on HACC preventive measure dismissed
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left unchanged the decision on a preventive measure for former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov, suspected of illegal enrichment.
They indicated that the defense tried to appeal the decision to detain him with an alternative of 51.6 million hryvnias of bail, but the panel of judges found no grounds to uphold the appeals.
The decision of the appellate court entered into force immediately after its announcement and cannot be appealed in cassation.
The suspect is currently on bail and has been given a number of procedural obligations, including surrendering his passport.
Oleksiy Chernyshov is a suspect in the EBK database.
Previously, Chernyshov appealed the decision of the HACC regarding the preventive measure.
