Appeal Scheduled in UR and Vog Aero Jet Case
The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider an appeal against the verdict, which found Anatoly Savych, the former manager of Vogue Aero Jet, and Valery Nikiforov, the former head of the petroleum products accounting and warehousing department of the Production Support Center branch of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, guilty of abuse.
As is known, the anti-corruption court found Savych and Nikiforov guilty. Savych was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison with a ban on holding certain positions for 3 years. Nikiforov was sentenced to 3 years and 1 month in prison and a ban on holding certain positions for 1 year and a fine of UAH 8,500. The defense filed an appeal against this verdict.
To open appeal proceedings on the appeals of the accused (Nikiforov – ed.) and the defense attorney in the interests of the accused (Savich – ed.) against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of October 29, 2024 in criminal proceedings. To establish a period up to and including December 20, 2024, during which the participants in the legal proceedings may file objections to the appeals
As a reminder, the SAPO referred to court the case of the former head of the Central Oil Company branch of UR Vitaliy Tsvihun, the former head of the Central Oil Company's oil products accounting and warehousing department Valeriy Nikiforov, and the former manager of Vog Aero Jet company Anatoly Savich. According to the prosecution, in early 2017, UZ officials took concerted actions to obtain an unjustified increase in the price of diesel fuel from one of its suppliers, increasing their profits by a total of almost UAH 103 million.
Earlier it became known that the court arrested the head of the Mariupol MSEC for a bribe of $5,000.
