HACC appeal upholds confiscation of official’s car

The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine upheld the decision to confiscate the Mercedes-Benz G 400 d car of the mother of Andriy Morara, Head of the Department of Migration Control, Counteraction to Illegal Migration and Readmission of the Main Department of the State Migration Service in the Odessa Region.
This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, but did not specify the name of the official. According to media reports, this is Morara, from whom the aforementioned car was confiscated earlier.
On March 25, 2025, the Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine supported the position of the SAPO prosecutor and left unchanged the decision of the court of first instance dated December 11, 2024, which recognized as unfounded the asset in the amount of UAH 5.6 million, which formally belongs to the mother, but is actually used by the head of one of the departments of the Main Directorate of the State Migration Service in the Odessa region. The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and refused to satisfy the defendants' appeals. The decision of the Appellate Chamber of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine enters into force from the moment of its announcement
