HACC to review seizure of ex-deputy Oleshko’s car

The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing for April 8 to consider a lawsuit to confiscate a 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 car, used by former Chernihiv Regional Council deputy Tetyana Oleshko.
This decision was made by the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
To accept the statement of claim for consideration and to initiate proceedings in a civil case on the claim of the State of Ukraine represented by the SAPO against (Tetiana Oleshko and Viktoria Korchynska – ed.) on the recognition of assets as unfounded and their recovery into the state's income. To schedule a preparatory court hearing in the case for April 8, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the premises of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine
As is known, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit to confiscate the car of the former deputy of the Chernihiv Regional Council Oleshko. In 2023, an acquaintance of the deputy of the Chernihiv Regional Council purchased a car. However, it turned out that the car was used exclusively by the deputy. In addition, on the day of purchase, a power of attorney was issued for it. Thus, she could directly or indirectly perform actions identical in content to the exercise of the right to dispose of the aforementioned property. As the SAPO prosecutor established, the family of the deputy and her acquaintance did not have sufficient legal income to purchase this car.
Previously, the HACC confiscated the apartment of the former deputy head of the Poltava Regional TCP and Joint Venture Oleksandr Kotyukh and his mother worth UAH 1.92 million.
