Appeals court upholds arrest of ex-minister Galushchenko

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left unchanged the decision to extend the preventive measure for the former Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko in the form of detention with the alternative of paying a bail of UAH 200 million.
This was reported by the press service of the Appeals Chamber.
The court upheld the decision of the investigating judge of the HACC dated April 15, 2026 and rejected the appeals of the defense. Bail has not been posted yet, so the former minister continues to be in custody.
Based on the results of the review, the panel of judges of the AC HACC dismissed the appeals of the defense. The decision entered into force from the moment of its announcement and is not subject to appeal in cassation.
