The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has upheld the travel restrictions imposed on former Ternopil Regional Council Chairman Mykhailo Golovko, who was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

As is known, the anti-corruption court found the former head of the Ternopil regional council, Golovka, guilty. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property. The accused was also given a preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 15 million with the following obligations: to appear in court upon first demand; to notify the court of a change in his place of residence and place of work; not to leave the Ternopil region without the court's permission; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.

Holovko requested that restrictions on movement within Ukraine be lifted. According to him, this ban makes it impossible to properly carry out volunteer activities and provide assistance to the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which he has been doing for over 10 years.

The motion is denied. The decision of the appellate court shall enter into force from the moment of its announcement, shall be final and shall not be subject to appeal in cassation.
