AC upheld the confiscation of ex-MIA official’s assets

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court confirmed the confiscation of a 2023 Skoda Kodiaq car and UAH 4.63 million in cash from the former head of the territorial service center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksandr Savchenko.
This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, without specifying the name of the official.
According to "Slovo i Dilo", this is about Savchenko. Earlier, the anti-corruption court confiscated the assets of the former head of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Savchenko and his relatives. Their representative filed an appeal against this decision.
On February 20, 2025, the Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice confirmed the recognition of assets, namely UAH 4,634,755 and a car, which were found in the possession of the head of the territorial service center of the regional service center of the State Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as unfounded. The court agreed with the arguments of the prosecutor and refused to grant the defendant's appeal. The decision of the Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice enters into force from the moment of its announcement
As a reminder, the SAPO filed a lawsuit against an official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs structure Oleksandr Savchenkaz. According to the prosecutor, during a search of the home and car of the service center official as part of a case of alleged abuse, false declaration and bribery, almost 5 million UAH in cash was found. The National Agency added that it was about 90 thousand dollars.
