HACC schedules trial for ex-minister Pyvovarskyi

The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing on the case of former Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky and his former deputy Volodymyr Shulmeystr accused of causing over $49 million in damages.
To schedule a trial in open court on the basis of the indictment in criminal proceedings on charges of (Pyvovarsky – ed.) committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and (Shulmeystra – ed.) committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
Andriy Pyvovarsky is a figure in the EBK database.
As a reminder, the High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a preventive measure on former Minister of Infrastructure Andriy Pyvovarsky. According to the investigation, in July 2015, Pyvovarsky, together with First Deputy Volodymyr Shulmeister, secured the adoption of an order that allowed private companies to collect 50% of the ship dues rate from vessels in the port of Pivdenny.
At the same time, according to the law, the collection of such a fee is the exclusive prerogative of the Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine. During 2017-2021 alone, the state budget lost more than $40 million due to these actions.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Ukraine approved an agreement with two defendants in the UZ case.
