The Agency for Search and Management of Assets has discovered new assets from MSEC officials suspected of corruption, including hundreds of apartments, millions of hryvnias and luxury cars, reported the head of AIMA Olena Duma.

According to the Duma, the agency is actively searching for the assets of employees of medical institutions, TCP and SS, MMC and MSEC, involved in corruption schemes related to the forgery of medical documents to grant disabled status to conscripts, which allowed them to avoid mobilization.

So far, AIMA employees have discovered the first assets of five persons involved in criminal proceedings and their entourage, including:

  • 128 objects of residential and non-residential real estate (apartments in regional centers and Kyiv, apartments, entertainment complexes, garages, parking spaces, offices);
  • 140 land plots (for residential construction, agriculture, horticulture);
  • 30 cars, including premium brands such as Lexus and Tesla;
  • corporate rights in the amount of more than UAH 20 million (including enterprises of the energy and construction industries);
  • millions of hryvnias in bank accounts;
  • weapon.

The Duma noted that a significant part of these assets was acquired by the participants during a full-scale invasion and issued to relatives.

This is just the beginning. The national agency has already sent requests to a dozen banks to search for the assets of the participants both in Ukraine and abroad

- said Olena Duma.

Information about the recovered property was passed on to law enforcement, and AIMA is currently awaiting court orders to transfer these assets to the agency.

We will remind you that at the end of October, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree that puts into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine "On combating corruption offenses." The decision provides for the liquidation of all medical and social expert commissions (MSEC) and the prosecution of officials suspected of corruption schemes. The liquidation of MSEC will begin on December 31, 2024 after the adoption of the relevant draft law.

In addition, we reported that in 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed large-scale corruption schemes in MSEC, as a result of which 4,106 fake disability certificates were canceled. 64 MSEC employees were suspected of committing crimes, and 9 people have already been convicted.
