SBI employees reported the suspicion to the deputy commander of one of the military units deployed in the Vinnytsia region.

The investigation found that in 2022, the official unjustifiably issued combat payments to servicemen who were actually in the rear.

From September to December 2022, 62 servicemen of the unit were sent to carry out tasks in the Kyiv region, which at that time was not part of the areas of combat operations.

Despite this, the official issued false certificates about the alleged direct participation of the said servicemen in the hostilities. Based on these documents, they were illegally accrued and paid additional monetary compensation totaling 4.8 million hryvnias.

The deputy commander was reported on suspicion of negligent attitude towards military service, which caused serious consequences in conditions of martial law (Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

We previously reported that in the Ternopil region, a former police officer and deputy head of the State Executive Service department of one of the regions is suspected of organizing the illegal transfer of military conscripts abroad.

In addition, in Lutsk, a psychiatrist was fined 34,000 hryvnias for selling a false diagnosis. The corresponding sentence was passed by the Lutsk City District Court.
