The head of the MMC in Poltava was removed due to suspicion of corruption
The head of the military medical commission evacuated to Poltava from Bakhmut could receive 50,000 hryvnias and 50 dollars for fake disability to customers.
According to the investigation, in May the official could receive an envelope with money and a list of five people to whom she had to make conclusions about disability.
Subsequently, the Bakhmut Interdistrict MSEK in Poltava signed the act of inspection by the medical and social expert commission without a number and date. According to the conclusions, the men on the list received the third group of disabilities. On June 27, the official could sign the conclusions about the re-examination and the establishment of the 2nd group of disabilities to the "customers". These documents could be used to obtain a postponement of mobilization.
According to the SSU, "clients" could be issued with conclusions about the fictitious presence of disability signed by the head of the MSEK. The certificate could be issued without the actual presence of conscripts and their passing of a medical commission.
Among their likely customers were residents of Poltava region, Vinnytsia region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Odesa region and those who left the temporarily occupied territories. The cost of the "service" could be up to UAH 200,000 for one person.
During the conducted searches of the places of work and residence of the participants of the scheme, the following documents were seized, confirming illegal activities; copies of documents of conscripts; postal invoices and envelopes in which documents and money were sent; bank cards; computer equipment and mobile phones.
The alleged organizer of the scheme was informed of the suspicion of extorting and receiving a bribe. It is known from the case materials that the law enforcement officers documented the alleged issuance of fictitious conclusions to more than 40 people.
When it came to removal from office, the suspect and the lawyers did not agree with the request of the investigator. Despite this, the court suspended the suspect from her post at least until October 15.
