Head of Road Enterprise Suspected of Enrichment
The director of the state enterprise responsible for the maintenance of highways in the Poltava region has been charged with the legalization of criminally obtained property and the introduction of false information in the declarations.
The investigation found out that from 2020 to 2023, the official acquired immovable and movable property, property rights, as well as cryptocurrency in the amount of UAH 35.8 million. Assets include:
- a residential building with an area of 200.3 m² with a garage, a guard house, an outbuilding and a swimming pool in the suburbs of Poltava, worth UAH 13.7 million;
- a plot of land under the house (40 acres) worth UAH 1.7 million;
- an apartment in Poltava with an area of more than 100 m² worth UAH 3.2 million;
- rights to six apartments in new buildings in Poltava with a total value of UAH 7.7 million;
- 73 agricultural land plots in Poltava Oblast with an area of 146 hectares;
- jet ski and trailer;
- cryptocurrency of various types, equivalent to 180,000 dollars (6.6 million hryvnias at the time of the crime).
These assets were acquired through the suspect's criminal activities in public service, including extortion, abuse of office, embezzlement and embezzlement. In particular, in 2022 NABU notified him of suspicion of abuse of official position and inappropriate use of budget funds
In order to hide the origin of the property, all assets, except cryptocurrency, were registered to relatives, and the official owned cryptocurrency personally, but did not include it in the declaration.
At the request of NABU detectives, the High Anti-Corruption Court seized all movable and immovable property and property rights of the suspect.
Earlier NABU and SAP raised suspicions against People's Deputy Iryna Kormyshkinia in the case of illegal enrichment . According to the investigation, during 2021-2022, she acquired assets whose value exceeds her official income and savings by more than UAH 20 million. For these unsubstantiated funds, the narodepka through a legal entity purchased a house near Odesa, where she currently lives.
