NABU and SAPO announce new suspicion against Lozynskyi

NABU and SAPO have reported a new suspicion to former Deputy Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development Vasyl Lozynsky, who is already on trial in another case for receiving illegal benefits.
This was reported by the press services of the anti-corruption bodies, without specifying the name of the suspect. However, according to media reports, it is Lozynsky.
As noted, Lozynsky was charged with inciting an official of an accountable state enterprise to abuse his official position. In addition, an official of the state enterprise was also charged with abuse of official position.
According to the case materials, in the summer of 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated funds for the purchase of equipment to provide the population with alternative sources of light, heat, and water supply in the winter period amid the destruction of critical infrastructure facilities.
Acting in the interests of a specific supplier, a top official persuaded the deputy director of a state-owned enterprise to conclude an agreement to supply equipment at a price that exceeded the market price by 30%. In return, he guaranteed him the position of director.
The actions of the former deputy minister were qualified under Part 4 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the actions of the director of the state enterprise – under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Earlier, in Vinnytsia region, five employees of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection were reported on suspicion of falsifying phytosanitary certificates. One of the inspectors is also suspected of receiving more than 20 thousand hryvnias in bribes.
