Lviv judge Plotnitsky pleads guilty in $1 mln bribery case
Borys Plotnitsky, the former head of the Western Appeal Economic Court, accused of bribery, entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, which was approved by the High Anti-Corruption Court.
Borys Plotnitsky entered into a plea agreement in the case of extortion and receipt of bribes by judges of commercial courts from the co-owner of the company "Eskulab", reports "Court Reporter".
In the preliminary hearing, the prosecutor and the defense requested a closed hearing. On December 10, the HACC issued a verdict, approving the agreement with the prosecutor. The text of the verdict in the register of court decisions has not yet been made public. The court did not respond to the journalists' request regarding the punishment imposed on Plotnitsky.
Earlier, in November, NABU announced the completion of a pre-trial investigation into three former chairmen of commercial courts in Lviv region, who are suspected of corruption.
