Contractor in Vinnytsia region to face trial over UAH 1.7m fraud
The director of a contracting organization in the Zhmeryn community is accused of embezzling over UAH 1.7 million from the budget for work that was not performed. The case has been referred to court.

According to the investigation, in 2022, a contract was concluded between one of the municipal enterprises of the Zhmeryn community and a contractor for the summer maintenance of roads, sidewalks, squares, public gardens, and alleys.
The contractor did not complete the work in full, but the director of the organization entered false information into official documents. 30 acceptance certificates with false data were drawn up and signed. As a result, the contractor unjustifiably received more than UAH 1.7 million from the local budget.
Currently, the accused has been placed under house arrest as a preventive measure. In addition, his property has been seized in the amount of over UAH 1.7 million to compensate for damages. His actions are qualified under Part 5 of Article 19 and Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
