Policeman in Volyn Caught Smuggling Draft Dodgers for $15K

Law enforcement officers have exposed the head of one of the departments of the Main Police Department in the Kyiv region, who organized the illegal transportation of evaders through Volyn to Poland. He faces up to nine years in prison for his actions.
According to the investigation, in March 2025, the law enforcement officer, together with his accomplices, promised a 36-year-old conscript to organize an escape abroad. For a reward of $15,000, he guaranteed the Kyiv resident's departure to Poland via the Volyn region.
The client was taken by car to one of the hotels near the border, and from there on motorcycles through the forests to the crossing point outside the official checkpoints. The evader, who was taken by boat across the Western Bug River, was detained by Polish border guards and returned to Ukraine
Investigators charged the police officer with illegally smuggling people across the state border of Ukraine for selfish reasons based on prior conspiracy (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for up to nine years of imprisonment.
Earlier, a man was detained in Kyiv, suspected of providing conscripts with fake military registration documents or necessary medical certificates.
