NABU Searches MP Kaptelov’s Residence

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted a search of the home of Roman Kaptelov, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People faction, as part of a case of alleged false declaration.

As indicated, NABU detectives conducted a search at Kaptelov's residence. They seized his mobile phone, which had a logical protection system. The politician did not name the code, and therefore the phone was seized. It was recognized as material evidence and an examination was ordered for it. The phone was seized.

On February 10, 2025, NABU launched an investigation into the fact of alleged lies in the declaration of People's Deputy Kaptelova. It did not indicate information about the members of his family, the politician, as well as about the property owned by them. In particular, it concerned an apartment in Moscow with a total area of ​​101.8 square meters and an approximate value of UAH 17.5 million, which belongs to his wife Yevgenia and children. The People's Deputy also did not indicate Yevgenia Kaptelova's income in the declaration.
