NABU suspects Komarnytskyi is hiding in Ukraine

According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, businessman Denys Komarnytskyi may be hiding in Ukraine. A number of law enforcement agencies are searching for him.

This was stated at a briefing by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, media reports.

According to our information, he (Komarnytskyi – ed.) is here. He is actively trying to find ways to leave the territory of Ukraine. This information is still subject to verification. A search and tracing operation is underway, involving significant forces, including various law enforcement agencies.

On February 6, 2025, NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office conducted searches at the home of Denys Komarnytsky, former co-chair of the Leonid Chernovetskyi Bloc faction in the Kyiv City Council.

Later, he and nine other people were informed of suspicion of creating a criminal organization that seized land in Kyiv worth over UAH 94 million.

As part of the investigation, 7 members of the criminal organization were detained. According to media reports, the list of suspects includes Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych, as well as Head of the Kyiv City Council Standing Committee on Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations Mykhailo Terentyev.
