NABU searches ex-associate of former Kyiv mayor

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office are conducting searches at the home of the former co-chairman of the Leonid Chernovetskyi Bloc faction in the Kyiv City Council, businessman Denys Komarnytskyi.

NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors are conducting a number of investigative actions, including in Komarnytskyi. The case concerns construction and land in Kyiv. Other details are not reported.

Later, the authorities confirmed that a number of investigative actions were being carried out in this case.

As is known, in 2019, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted searches at Komarnytskyi's home. A number of documents were found in his home that linked the construction and tender of the capital to various individuals. In particular, "Bigus.info" reported that documents were found at Komarnytskyi's home that the family of MP Mykola Tyshchenko could have made money on schemes related to the construction of the Podilsko-Voskresenskyi bridge.

Denys Komarnytskyi is a suspect in the EBK database.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO are also investigating the illegal enrichment of People's Deputy Tyshchenko in the amount of over 30 million UAH. Detectives are investigating the facts of the receipt by the former director of the Velour restaurant Vakalchuk of an apartment with an area of ​​almost 100 sq. m in Kyiv in a building on Pavla Skoropadskyi Street, 43, where the restaurant was previously located; two land plots and a residential building with an area of ​​322 sq. m in Kozyn, near Kyiv, as well as a 2016 Mercerdes-Benz V250 car worth 1.62 million UAH.

According to detectives, Vakalchuk received property worth almost UAH 9 million, but its market value is even higher. An analysis of his income has shown that he could not have acquired such property. In addition, Bihus.info journalists recorded that Vakalchuk's property was used by People's Deputy Tyshchenko and his wife.
