NABU Confirms Searches at Shurma’s Residence

The Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semen Kryvonos, confirmed that his agency conducted investigative actions against the former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Rostislav Shurma.
Krivonos spoke about this in an interview with Channel 24.
The searches were conducted at Shurma's residence near Munich. According to Kryvonos, the criminal case against Rostislav Shurma is being investigated. However, he did not comment on the progress of this case.
We are waiting for specific information from German law enforcement agencies within the framework of our international cooperation. In order not to harm this cooperation with law enforcement agencies of foreign countries, I will not comment in detail, but I can say that this case is actively moving forward.
On July 25, Ukrainska Pravda published an article claiming that in mid-July, NABU conducted searches at the home of former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostyslav Shurma, who was responsible for the economic block of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Rostislav Shurma is a suspect in the EBK database.
In August 2023, Bihus.Info journalists published an investigation into the fact that the State Enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" paid UAH 320 million for electricity to solar power plants in the temporarily occupied territories. According to the journalists, these included those owned, in particular, by the brother of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Oleg Shurma, and Rostyslav Shurma's former subordinate, Ruslan Bozhko.
At the same time, Bihus.Info indicates that the paid electricity probably did not go to the Ukrainian energy system, but the stations received payment at the "green tariff" until the summer of 2023.
In February 2024, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) filed a report against Rostislav Shurma. He was accused of using his official powers for his own benefit and the benefit of his family.
The NACP claimed that in 2022, Shurma organized an Electricity Committee under the OPU, the participants of which met under his chairmanship. The Ministry of Energy, NEC Ukrenergo, and SE Market Operator were among those involved in the Committee's meetings.
On September 3, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Shurma from the position of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, to which he was appointed in November 2021. He was to be responsible for the economic block of the Office's work.
